The Department offers the
degrees of MPhil. and PhD by research and is able to offer supervision in an
extensive range of topics within four broad areas of Departmental research
expertise: entrepreneurship; human resource management, management and
organizational analysis, public sector management. At any given time there
are between twenty five and forty registered doctoral students, both full
and part-time.
The Department is part of a
postgraduate research outlet encompassing the Departments of Accountancy
and Finance, Management and Marketing. This outlet has
received “1+3” recognition by the Economic and Social Research
Council. It thus provides a
high standard of facilities and research training through recognised
courses both within the Faculty and through the Stirling Graduate Research
School.
