Admissions
Criteria
The normal requirements for admission to the
Stirling MBA programme are:
-
A good honours or
equivalent degree in any discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification (for
example ACCA, CIMA etc). Evidence of continuing professional
development will also be considered.
-
While
at least two years work experience is normally required, candidates
who have an outstanding academic record may be considered for
admission with less.
-
Two
nominated referees, at least one of which should be academic, who
can be contact by the University to provide statements in support of
your application.
-
Candidates whose first language is not English and who do not have a recognised
degree or professional qualification taught and examined in English, must provide evidence
of proficiency - TOEFL 550, IELTS 6 or Cambridge Proficiency 'C' are acceptable.
Applications will be considered from outstanding candidates who do
not have the normal academic qualifications but who have achieved considerable work
experience in managerial positions of authority and responsibility. Candidates who do not
meet the normal requirement of two years' relevant work experience but who have achieved
previous outstanding academic results will also be considered for admission.
We do not require MBA applicants to submit a GMAT score but it may
be provided as supporting evidence by applicants who do not meet the normal MBA admissions
criteria.

How to Apply
Apply here or request an application pack from
Postgraduate Admissions
Office.
A transcript of studies from your first degree programme (or
professional examinations) should accompany your application if possible and should show
all courses taken, grades awarded and the final degree classification. Official copies of
English language test results should also be included or be sent as soon as possible.
Please note that, although
there is no specific deadline for receipt of applications, if an offer of
admission is made, any conditions must be met prior to registration in mid
September. You should therefore send transcripts, test results and other
supporting documentation with your application form, but if this would cause
delays, provide available information now and send supporting evidence as
soon as possible.
