Research

Doris Ruth Eikhof's research interest include creative industries, social theories in organisation studies, changing forms of work and organisation, work life-boundaries and organizations and lifestyles. Current research projects focus on the creative industries and on women’s work and include a Knowledge Transfer Partnerships with the macrobert arts centre.


Doris has published in international and German books and journals, including Journal of Organizational Behavior and Employee Relations. She is co-editor of 'Work less, live more? Critical Analyses of the Work-Life Relationship' (Palgrave 2008) and of an Employee Relations special issue on work-life balance (2007, Vol. 29:4).


Together with Dr. Juliette Summers, Doris has convened a special stream on Women's Work for the International Labour Process Conference 2008 in Dublin. She has also convened sub-themes at the EGOS Colloquium 2007 in Vienna and the International Labour Process Conference 2006 in London.

Doris is Research Associate of the Instutite for Nonprofit Management, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Austria, and the Scottish Centre for Employment Research, University of Strathclyde.
